| F.A.Q.Supermicro SYS-6029TR-DTR How to disable / enable ASPM?
What is ASPM?
Active State Power Management is a technology related to power management in servers, aimed at reducing power consumption by server components such as processors, expansion cards, and data buses, especially the PCIe (Peripheral Component Interconnect Express) bus.
ASPM allows for dynamic adjustment of the power state and speed of devices connected to the PCIe bus depending on their workload. This enables devices to operate in a low power state when they are not active, contributing to electrical energy savings in servers.
How to disable/enable ASPM?
You can find this BIOS setting in the section (Advanced -> PCIe/PCI/PNP Configuration -> ASPM Support).
Important:
With most recent BIOS versions ASPM is linked to SR-IOV. If you disable SR-IOV you also disable ASPM as well
